Saeed Ganji, P.Eng.
Saeed is the Chief Executive Officer of Sperovia. Saeed has a diverse background in the areas of executive leadership, procurement, dispute resolution, construction management and program controls both at corporate and project level. With over 24 years of experience in transit (LRT and BRT), heavy civil, industrial (oil and gas) and nuclear construction sectors, and senior roles with organizations such as City of Calgary, Jacobs/Metrolinx, Aecon, Colas, Kiewit and Bird.

Saeed worked as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive – Green Line LRT in Calgary from 2021 to 2024 providing direction on execution of Stage 1 of Green Line LRT project. In his role, and as the only direct report of the CEO, Saeed was responsible for leading the entire project team of 200 staff on the owner side and over 1,000 overall staff of the integrated project team. Saeed was accountable for providing executive oversight to the Green Line’s construction, technical, commercial, business services, legal, PMO, public affairs and HR teams.
Prior to joining Green Line LRT as COO, Saeed worked for Aecon as senior director and corporate sponsor – program controls. Prior to that, he worked for Jacobs as the delivery partner of Metrolinx on Hurontario LRT, and the LRV component of Finch West LRT and Eglinton Crosstown LRT as the Owner’s Engineer Group Leader and Head of PMO. Saeed’s previous work experience also includes working for Miller Group (Colas), Bird, Transfield Services, and Kiewit as Divisional Manager, Site Manager and Project Manager.
